Your First Intelligence Assignment:
Identify Your Perfect Career
The work environments within the Intelligence Community (IC) are as varied as our people and our professions. Every day presents a new challenge, and even positions with similar titles can differ drastically from one member agency to the next. Depending on your position, you could be working in the field gathering intelligence, working in an office analyzing data, working in a lab, or even on Capitol Hill working directly with advisors to the President and Congress.
If you are interested in travel, you can find yourself almost anywhere in the world. If being home every night for dinner with your family is important, we have those positions too. We have IC staff in all 50 states and all around the world. We work in big cities and small communities.
Working in the IC means collaborating with a core group of dedicated professionals committed to providing the information that drives America's national security. The pace can be frantic, due to the time sensitive nature of intelligence, but the job is also highly rewarding. We rely on one another for our success, and the country relies on us for the success of our national security.
